What a fantastic little hotel. From the wonderful Hotel Manager Leon, who made us feel special every day to the most wonderful fully restored Victorian elevator for two which was an absolute highlight for us. And let's not forget the super stylish leopard print carpet in the halls..... wow! The Hotel Mathis is a gorgeous boutique hotel in a fantastic location just yards from the Champs Elysees. The building is a former apartment block which has been exquisitely transformed into a hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a balcony which was amazing. We sat out there soaking up the Paris atmosphere at all times of the day and night. Our room was beautifully appointed.. large and with a super comfy bed and a luxurious ensuite. We booked the breakfast included option which was served in the adjoining cafe and how generous and tasty it was.... a great start to each day. All in all we cannot recommend this place highly enough and will certainly return if we are lucky enough to return to Paris. Bravo Hotel Mathis!
