Disappointed on arrival and check in. My room on the 3rd floor (no lift), toilet on the 2nd floor. I change my opinion, remembering the excellent price for a well located Paris hotel. Private room, clean, good size, with TV, sink+shower and fast wifi. Room prepared each day. Theater district location outstanding. Short walk to many restaurant choices. Roger, the manager, was kind and helpful to me. I thank him.

You Get What You Pay For

There's a small hotel in Saint Denis, Paris. I booked a single room with shared bathroom and toilet for a night 🌃. The room was clean with a wash-basin in it. There's a metro Ⓜ station near the hotel and it just takes five minutes walk to arrive. The hotel reception close every day between 1:30 a.m to 6 a.m

Small but good 

the receptionist was cute, despite the fact that he showed up with a cigar in his hand and he could not speak english (the description in booking.com said he could actually speak 4 languages)

the price was not a fair one, but the location is good

the room overall was fair, but i guess it’s mainly because we were lucky to have one acceptably clean room (probably the only clean room in the “hotel”)

the bed sheet was clearly not a washed one, but gladly we didn’t get any allergic symptoms after one night’s sleep.

if you’re looking for places for a long stay, you should not go this place. one or two nights would be enough. I would not say it’s a suffering, but i could not take one more night staying in this place.

P.S. don’t pick rooms with shared bathrooms

A fair stay

DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE. They limit the hours that you are allowed to enter and exit the hotel at night. We prepaid through booking.com. When we arrived in the afternoon for check in they told us that we could not come and go from the hotel during the night, or use the shower during the night. We had to book another place to stay last minute because we didn't want to be locked in the hotel at night. Neither the hotel, booking.com or my credit card ever refunded any of the full payment.

LEAVING OR RE-ENTERING THE HOTEL IS NOT ALLOWED DURRING NIGHT HOURS

The location of the hotel is good and around 20 min walk to Les Halles. The staff consisted of two men who spoke good English.

First I booked 3 nights and afterwards I had to book another night because of cancelled flight. I asked the hotel for same room if possible, and they arranged it which I appreciate. I booked a single room and it basically looked as on the picture. It was definitely not pretty but I had a place to sleep in. The room was also clean.

There was one toilet and one “bathroom”. Both were on bottom floor next to the stairs leading to the room. The room with the toilet is NOT the one on the picture on Booking and was VERY small. A “bigger” person would have hard to move, standing in front of the toilet, you could hardly turn around to get out. Also, there is no sink, instead you had to go to your room and wash your hands. The toilet-door was very thin, so you could hear everything which made it uncomfortable to use the toilet. The bathroom was also a very tiny room with a washing machine. The shower didn’t have any handle to put the shower hose on. Also the shower was not fresh. It also smelled like mold from these room.

On my way to the hotel, I by accident read that the hotel has a curfew between 0130-0630 I think. I asked if there is any possibility to change it because I had a birthday party to attend. It wasn’t possible the staff said because he had to sleep those hours at the hotel. The manager was working after him during the day. Basically, the guests were locked up inside nighttime like animals. This led to that I had to leave my friends earlier which is totally crazy. On Booking it only says about the reception being closed certain times during night which is normal. BUT it doesn’t say anywhere that you’re locked up as a animal. On the booking page there is a guest asking if there is a curfew, where the staff replies that all information is on the page, that is, avoiding to say there is. Also when I asked the same, he avoided to answer. Instead he showed some internet page connected to booking where it said there is. I have no idea where he found it or if it’s fake because I have searched and googled both in English and in French without finding it.

On the second day I decided to checkout and asked for refund for the four days. The manager gave me money back for one day only and said he doesn’t have to but he does it to be nice kind of. What he did after he didn’t tell me about. Somehow (I don’t know the booking system) he changed the booking so it looked like I only booked two days in total, while I actually booked 4 days and got refund for 1 day, that is it should show 3 days booking. 

While checking out, I saw that he had a bunch of white plastic cards, which he used to give me the refund, instead of using my private bank card. That means that he kind of have copies of the guests bank cards. I could also see numbers on it, and it matched the numbers on my card. I decided not to say anything because I just wanted to get out.

The manager was “nice” but had a very strange attitude, kind of making you feel smaller and he was better than you, while the other man was friendly. All in all, I would never ever book this horrible experience ever again, and I advise everyone to not book it. This is a place that should close immediately. It all ended with me booking another place 20 euros more per night that was one of the best experiences I had, the Turin Hotel. Please, avoid this place!

I booked this hotel for 3 days.   The person on reception is the rudest person I ever meet in my whole life.  He was smoking and smelling as if he never had a shower in his life and could not even speak English.   

He could not find my reservation for the first night and started shouting on me like a crazy telling me to leave the property.    Since Paris was super full on the weekend due to fashion week and air show I could not find another hotel (unless I would pay £500 a night) and had to go to a friends house and sleep in the floor.   

The second day when I went back there to leave my luggage before going to Disney even so he knew I had a reservation he would not let me leave the luggage there.   So I had to go back to my friends again and leave it there.  When I came back from Disney the hotel had cancel my reservation with no reason or notice.  Very irresponsible and disrespectful.

Worst experience of my life !!!

Very dirty, smelly, unpleasant room. I was scared so didn't even use a towel. After I lie on the bed my skin became itchy. A receptionist was not helpful at all. I wish I didn't pick this hotel. The area looks unsafe and rather scary. Quite traumatic experience.
