On a business trip, nice welcome, smiling, quick and very good table service. Several menu choices for the evening stage. Good quality/price ratio. The breakfast buffet is right. It just lacked fruit (apart from oranges to make fresh juices). A few small refreshments were made in the rooms. The bathroom was recently refurbished so nothing to say.

I spent one night in this establishment, and I can say that I was very well received. A great and copious table for a very reasonable price. I couldn't take advantage of the various wellness facilities because of the weather and lack of time, but it will be next time.

A good establishment

First visit to the Vaiges Commercial Hotel and I was very pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and impeccable service, the kindness of the staff and the discovery of a large table, Chef Samuel is a passionate chef and his dishes are worthy of a star chef.

A place to discover

For the first time we passed by the housing plant at the last minute to rest before taking the road. The reception was at first a little distant after it was better, the (top) room with the old-fashioned decor, the empty walls a small painting or an image of the area would be welcome. the bathroom idem, no shower mixer not easy to set up limestone faucets with foamy hands, price-to-price ratio for this too expensive. The nice room restaurant, right menu for 22 € (it was posted at 19 when we arrived) the right breakfast. the garden of pretty flowers of very beautiful hortensias but the lawn didn't cut and the flowers to be eroded began to fall into the hotel.

On the Way Back

Restaurant very in line with the spirit of the French household restaurant, we can smell the well-made restaurant for all meals, including Melba strawberry dessert.

This hotel advertises a 24 hour service but there is no such thing. We had to take a back door and find our room in the dark. The hotel advertises wifi but there is no wifi anywhere in the hotel!! The hotel breakfast was very poor, only some supermarket toast and jam, we weren't told it costs money and ended up having to pay 20 euros p.p. for this sad excuse for a breakfast. After a long day in the car / outside the village we arrived at 21:20 hoping to get something to eat but we were told the kitchen closed at 21:00 (there were still people there though) and we asked for something small like soup or bread but they wouldn't even give us that. So much for hospitality, The pool was closed and there was no airco or thin sheets in the room. A terrible hotel overall.

In Vaiges for business, our client booked the Hotel for us. 
The exterior is attractive and tells you that this Hotel is a well established business so its not going to be a chain hotel experience. Booking in was easy, 'madame' proving friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large by todays 'chain' standards, their decor and general appearance tidy, clean and just starting to move to becoming a little on the  jaded side. 
The bar area is small and serves a super flavoursome draught beer which I suspect is local to the area. Dinner was nothing short of stunning. The service was excellent and  starter and main meal for two impeccable and memorable. We had the mushroom and snail soup starter...which was a triumph, followed by steak and fish choices, both served with light but tasty sauces. 

Breakfast was a typical French continental style affair, unfussy with fresh quality coffee and a choice of teas, lovely fresh breads and home made jams with ham and cheese as an option. Fruit and cereals were also on offer. In summary, breakfast was a simple but good quality affair and all that's needed to start the day.

I agree with another review....its well worth a detour.

Particularly good for foodies

I was looking in that area for a hotel with a good restaurant. It is old fashioned, rooms are small but clean, I had a renovated bathroom.
But you forget immediately about the hotel when you take place in the restaurant for dinner, the choice is excellent, the winelist is outstanding.
The quality of the dinner was very good, I had one of the best foie gras I ever had in my life.
Relation price/ quality very good.

Hotel du Commerce is a good Hotel in the Region. During my Busines trips it is a good Family hotel with good food and drinks.
You feel part of the Family. For a Walk in the evening you can go around the lake and return uphill to the Hotel. Tipical French town.


Stsy at Hotel di Commerce

We stayed at this hotel for the week from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the circuit is about 50km from the state road. Very comfortable and spacious room (a small suite), clean and quiet.
