This is one of the most awesome hostels I've ever been to. Comfortable, lovely and helpful staff, yummy breakfast. I don't know if it was because of the summer season, but this was the only hostel I found with breakfast included. All the others had to be paid separetely. I also got to know some cool people there. The well-equiped kitchen allows you to save some bucks by buying your food at the supermarket nearby,

A great hostel with an amazing big variety buffet breakfast. I just came back from 5 months Asia so nice to eat "normal" bread, kaiserbrot, cheese, smoked ham.  De dorm rooms are big with a table with chairs in the room. I missed that in Asia. They stuff up the room with bunkbeds but here you can actually sit on a chair in your dorm room. The bathrooms are big and clean. Only thing I missed some hooks to hang my towel and dry clothes. It's about 15min. with the tram from Alexanderplatz. Around the corner is a Aldi (cheap supermarket) but the kitchen facility is not complete in the hostel. Fast wifi throughout the whole building. Yes I would recommand this hostel to others! 

We've been interrailing for a month, and this might be the best hostel we've stayed at.

The staff was very sweet and helpful, the neighbourhood is nice and everything from laundry to the rooms to breakfast was good quality.

It is like 10 minutes from Alexander Platz with the M4 tram, so it is pretty close to everything, given that it is Berlin we are talking about.

The only small thing is, that the lockers are a bit narrow, so our backpacks didn't fit, but the hostel seemed so safe, it didn't bother us.

I would definitely stay here again.

Super friendly staff!! The dorms were decent. There were big lockers in the room (our backpacks fitted). It was clean enough. Every morning there was a yummie breakfast!! There was a nice shared kitchen. The public transport connection to alexander platz was good. Overall a pleasant stay! Especially for that price!

Really nice hostel. Staff were really friendly and more than willing to help or give advice. Rooms were very clean. 10min tram ride from Kreuzberg for nightlife but quiet enough to get a good nights sleep.

This summer we travelled Europe with interrail...this was the best hostel in our trip...the receptionist was friendly the room clean and quiet...there was a big dinning room...what else can you ask for? there is also a small lake nearby...we swimmed there :)

I stayed here with two other female friends during an interrail trip and really recommend this as a typical backpacking, hostel experience. We were welcomed by a very friendly and incredibly helpful lady on reception. She really went out of her way for us and when our friend got sick which meant we had to stay longer in Berlin, she sorted out a couple more nights in the Die Etage around the corner and even carried our bags there with us. We stayed in a shared female dorm with bunk beds, the rooms were clean with vibrant wall art and there were plug sockets, free wifi and clean bedding in all the rooms. The shared bathroom was not quite so good with its temperamental showers but considering the very decent price, I was not expecting luxury. There was a great chill-out area with comfortable sofas, kitchen and breakfast bar which we made the most of by buying our breakfast from the supermarket (which is located conveniently over the road) and cooking it in the kitchen. There are many like-minded travelers to meet here and it was honestly one of my favorite places that I stayed during my month on the continent. The hostel is full of tourist information all over the walls and the metro to the city center is only a short walk (5-10 mins) away. 

Perfect for young travelers on a budget.

Hostel was basic, but very clean. Room was little bit smelly at the arrival ,but you could to fix it up quickly by opening window. Well equipped , spacious kitchen.
Lady at reception (owner I suppose) was very helpful and nice.
We do recommend.

The stay was fine at the hostel... Nothing too special. 

The location is about a 20 minute tram ride to the center which was fine

For breakfast they had bread, meats, cheese, spreads, etc. 

The bathrooms were shared facilities so the boys and the girls shared the same showers. 

Lockers were similar to gym lockers so very difficult to fit luggage into. They were tall but so narrow.

Visit to Berlin

I stayed there almost ten years ago, so my experiences might not be up to date. 
But anyway, we were a bunch of 30-odd students living at this place, and although not everyone where completely happy, most of thought it did exactly what it should: we had decent beds, decent shared bathrooms and a decent breakfast. There was a small lounge where we could meet up with other backpackers. 
Great location, just by Ku'damm and the city center, close to the railway station and subway. 
The atmosphere was great and leisurely - everything was a bit run down and all was not squeaky clean, but it was extremely cheap, and then you get what you pay for. I just have good recollactions of the place.
