Well, it is cheap. So you know, what to expect. I start with the good thing: cheap, clean, close to subway (50 m). There were more not so good things. Weak wifi, like really weak and only via login through facebook. Windows have like 30 years, so when they are not closed, you will hear a lot from the outside. Room itself was quite dark, dark furniture, dark carpet. There was basin in the room, but toilet and shower were outside across corridor. Bed was alright though. So if you plan only to sleep in this hotel and you are planning short stay and looking for a cheap place, this may be it.

Area- NOT SAFE Noise from the metro train every 5 minutes. 
Our room was at ground floor so passersby COULD SEE US even with the curtains closed. 
No soundproofing 
Bathroom STINKED before we even use it. 
Bath water floated inside the bathroom and housekeeping didn't mop it. 
Sheets NEVER CHANGED.
 DON'T BOOK AT HOTEL SAKS. IT REALLY SUCKS. 
IT SHOULD BE NAMED HOTEL SUCKS.

DON'T BOOK AT THIS HOTEL 

My daughter and I spent 4 nights here in Oct. 2015.  The room was large and clean with an en-suite.  Not all rooms have en-suites.  It is well placed for the U-bahn and it is a quick ride into the city. We felt safe walking to and from the station.  Some good restaurants only three stops away at Oranienberg Strasse.

Be careful with this hotel lest you want to find yourself locked out in the middle of the night. In all of my travels, I have never known a hotel to be devoid of staff and locked in the evening. A great disappointment since I still had to pay for the room. On top of that, the free wi-fi that I was guaranteed was not available in my room. Of course, there was no one there to speak with. 

Closed upon arrival

There are a lot of things to like about the Hotel Pension Same. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the hotel is close to the Ubahn (subway) and there are plenty of nice places nearby to get something to eat. The breakfast is adequate if not great and if you get room 105 your bathroom is inside your room and not down the hall. 
     It is reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. If you are a traveller who is particular about your accommodation, this place is not for you. The ground floor rooms are near the play area of a block of flats and although the kids are well behaved they do make noise. The hotel is located in a slightly dodgy area that although I always felt safe may not be to some peoples standards.
      I'm not saying don't stay here I'm just saying don't expect too much.
