We had an excellent stay at Il Vicolo. Mathia was a perfect host and helped us with some great suggestions on where to eat and what to visit. The room itself is located in a gorgeous building and has everything one could wish for. We will definitely be going back there next time we are in Verona. 10/10

A perfect stay at Il Vicolo

We had a wonderful stay at Il Vicolo. The appartement is modern, clean and very comfortable. Good beds, bathroom and kitchen. The city centre is very near by foot. The host, Mathia, is very accommodating. He helped with the luggage, the parking and excellent restaurant choises. He even advised us on restaurants for our next destination. Highly recommended! 

Wonderful place in Verona

Stayed here for a few days with my friend and stayed in the 1 bed apartment. It was spectacularly clean, and lovely decor inside. Very comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. The host, Mathia was brilliant and contacted me a few days before my arrival with all the details on how to get there. Less than a minutes walk to the bus stop and less than 10 mins  away from the main city centre! When we arrived Mathia also greeted us, and showed us a map of Verona with all the recommendations of where to go. Very accommodating. 

Would highly recommend staying here!

Brilliant Apartment and Location!

We really loved Mathia‘s apartment and the area it is located. Mathia took great care of us, always providing us with local tips for the city. He made sure everything was perfect and went to great lengths to give us a nice and warm welcome. The apartment belongs to little house with a couple more apartments that are owned by Mathia and the whole house is equipped with a modern security system, so you feel safe. For a small fee, you can also park in the private garage of the apartment complex, which is very helpful in a small city like Verona, since parking spots are rare, especially for bigger cars. The house was very quiet and nicely decorated. If you are looking for a modern apartment with ten minutes walking distance to the arena di verona (and many other great sights) and a very friendly host, then this is for you. We even got a little present from Mathia, but we’re not spoiling what it was, you need to come and see for yourself :) 10/10 would come back :) we are looking forward to our next trip to Verona! Thank you Mathia!

Great Service

I want to express my deep gratitude to Mathia and his family for the wonderful time I spent in their apartments. Mathia is very interested that his guest do not need anything. At my request, the apartments were ready ahead of arrival. Mathia kindly met me in a recomended cafe and helped with lagguage and checking in.
Very stylish and clean house. The apartments are gorgeous. Equipped with everything necessary for life. And the best part is the additional bonuses - iron, free dry cleaning, everything for washing, a filled fridge (water, a bottle of wine, juice), various cookies, tea, coffee, everything for the bathroom and much more. On the very first day, Mathia presented me with a detailed map of the city, told me where to go, where are the best views and delicious local food.  For each recommendation, I am separately grateful, it was really cool.
The apartments are super clean and tidy.
At any time, if something is needed, the Mathia's family is always ready to help. I am delighted with Verona and the fact that I chose the apartment. I recommend it to everyone, this is the best place and the best experience.

Best apartments and the best experience

Many thanks to the nicest and most caring host Mathia, he really made us feel like home in this apartment and in Verona. The apartment is part of the house where he grew up, so from the first moment he introduced us to the city, recommended us restaurants and the most important thing for him was that we felt comfortable. In case we had any problem, he was around and found a solution. 

The apartment was super clean and the the whole house is just beautiful, very stylish and well selected furnished. Our apartment had two rooms each with a seperate bathroom and one kitchen. It really just felt like home from the beginning. I’m sure you will agree after your stay! 

We had a private parking place for 10€ per day which was super close and super safe. On the next corner there was a very sweet café called “Gnam Gnam” where we went every morning for breakfast to get the best croissants (brioche) EVER: my personal recommendation is the one with the pistachio crème inside. 😉

A Home in Verona

Had an amazing stay at II Vicolo, Mathia was the perfect host by helping us find our way round the city and places to visit. The apartments were superb and in a great spot to go off exploring. Such high standards of cleanliness and decor you cannot be disappointed with this place to stay in. I would definitely recommend staying here. 

Perfect!

Easy walk to the main attractions of this beautiful city. Stylish apartment, with all the mod cons and little thoughtful extras, such as an umbrella or cushions for an arena show. Mathia, our host, was a font of knowledge to make our stay in Verona a wonderful one. Nothing was too much trouble. 
Highly recommend.

An absolute gem


We booked the II Vicolo Residence for a three night stay to explore Verona. What an I say? This place is really top class accommodation. It's located around ten minutes steady walking to the  Ponte Nuovo del Popolo, a bridge over the Fiume Adige river which brings you into the city. 
 We were greeted on arrival to the II Vicolo by Mathia the owner, who couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. Before showing us to our room he spent time with us explaining where everything was around Verona including great restaurants, local food stores and locations of all the sights. Mathia is a great host who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. A lovely man who’s  English is great too. On one occasion we had a rain storm early in the evening. Whilst standing in the entrance area deciding whether to make a dash for the restaurant, Mathia appeared with two umbrella’s for us to use. Just one example of how helpful he is. 
 We booked a one bedroom apartment for our stay which was truly wonderful. We had a full kitchen including a microwave, fridge (with a bottle of wine from Mathia) oven, hob and every utensil, crockery and pans you could need. There was a TV in the kitchen area along with a dining table and chairs. There was an iron and ironing board which was great. The en-suite bedroom was immaculate with full height double wardrobes and bedside storage. The bathroom was also perfect with a shower, bidet and modern fittings. 
I can't emphasise how beautiful and well thought out the apartment was. I have to say It was the cleanest most spotless place I've ever stayed at. This also goes for the rest of the building with an impressive entrance hall and staircase.
 We checked out quite early as we had a train to catch to our next destination. Mathia was there to see us off and help with the bags. So friendly. I would without hesitation book the II Vicolo Residence again should I return to Verona. 

Simply perfect!!

Most of the reviews of Ill Vicolo focus on Mathia and the level of service and attentiveness he gives his guests. I can whole heartedly confirm that all those reviews are correct and that our stay in Verona was made even more pleasurable due to staying here. Everything that other guests have stated he actually does and the apartment we stayed in was a of a very high quality. I would highly recommend Il Vicolo if you are staying in Verona as it has a good location and you receive 5 star service without the 5 star price...
