My husband and I had an awesome time on this deep sea fishing trip with Captain Borge! We were blown away with the amount of fish we caught as a group. The Captain has such an immense wealth of knowledge. It was amazing to learn how to fish from him and to see him fillet the fish! Would definitely do this again and recommend to friends! And all for a very competitive price!

My family, wife, daughter (14) and I, booked a fishing trip with Borge Iverson. I was sure what to expect. Out of all the charters I reached out to Mary-Ann was the only one who responded.  Didn’t have a ton of options. But we really lucked out.  Every time we mentioned we had a fishing trip to a local, they asked if it was with the famous Borge Iverson…uhh sure?  Apparently the guy is a living legend. The day we went out it was beautiful. Flat seas and sunny. The first spot we tried was pretty dead. But everyone after that folks were catching fish. My daughter rarely fishes and didn’t want to try at first but got into it. Mom handed her the pole and maybe 15 seconds later she had her first fish on. Her first of many. Great trip all around.

Børge is an absolute legend. His 3 hr fishing trip was the most competitive price we could find in Lofoten & he even filleted our fish ready to cook. Any question or request you might have, the answer is "ja".

We had a nice stay at Sjøstrand rorbuer. The staff warmed up the sauna and it was excellent for six people. We also had a nice and cold swim from the docks. Excellent service and very nice price. Good value!

My family stayed at Sjøstrand rorbuer for two nights in July 2016 as part of our week exploring Lofoten tracing ancestral roots. We loved talking to Børge and Mary-Ann and just enjoying the Lofoten pace of life. Prepare to calm down and just take things in your stride! We went on one of Børge's fishing trips and had beginner's luck, hauled in two big cod and loads of other small fish. The accommodation is homely and practical and good value. It's normal in Norway to self-cater and clean the place yourself when you leave. I recommend this if you are looking for an authentic and personal Lofoten experience.

Fishing trip with Børge

They overcharged us both for camping and for using the sauna. The owner said 100 per night per person when we arrived and the bill was 125. Then the next day he said I must have heard wrong, but we are then 2 to have heard wrong. Our sauna night was interrupted by rude teenagers and then in the morning we had to pay the full price because the teenagers ran away from their bill. When we asked why we got told it wasnt their fault that other people had come uninvited so it wasnt their problem. So apparently it was our problem as paying customets that people came uninvited to their sauna! This camping seemed like a nice place when we arrived so it was sad to learn how rude, ruthless and little understanding the owners showed. Would really not recommed. 

They overcharged us and were really rude about it 

Drittlukta ligger i en eim rundt deg og minner deg på den sprukne septiktanken som de ikke har tenkt å fikse på månedsvis... Sliten «rorbu» uten ovn eller mikro. På plussiden så virket faktisk wifi da. Styr unna dersom det finnes andre alternativer.

The smell from the broken sewage tank was not a pleasant experience. They were not planning on fixing it either before the end of holiday season. The accomodations / rorbu can be best described as subpar (really run-down). If you have alternatives, book something else.
