Villa Ballstad

It is conveniently located, clean and very friendly atmosphere. You can find all you need there. Great wifi. Warm during the night. Great views when you wake up.

Not many grocery stores nearby, so come prepared.

This came up at a reasonable price and we were pleasantly surprised.  Its a modern looking house inside and out.  comfortable and clean.  It was a bit odd not to have the owner there, just the customers.  its in a nice area with a shop, a large hill to climb at night for the northern lights and a dive school next door.  we were a bit squashed in a room with two beds that really was meant for one.  i would go back if i was going back to norway.

A house with 5 bedrooms for rent. Common kitchen, living room, two bathrooms and outside area. Nice interior, nice location. Noise isolation poor between the rooms so you will here your neighbors, toilet visits, walks in the stairs and more. Service minded people behind. All in all a good experience. We enjoyed. 

This looks like it was a house that was turned into a hotel, so has five(?) bedrooms of varying sizes, with shared facilities.  Stayed in a triple room, which had a bunk and a single. It had a built in cupboard for clothing, and a small side table with light. It would have been small for three people, but possible. As others have mentioned, the walls are a little thin, so if people on the other side of you were talking, you could hear that they were talking, but not overly so. 

I was a little concerned about the shared bathrooms (there are two, one upstairs has a separate shower and tub, the one downstairs has a shower with no separation from the rest of the room), but I never had to fight to shower.  

Kitchen had a full sized refrigerator (no freezer though), oven and stove. Nice dining area, and lounge area with TV (I did not use, so cannot speak to the channels).  Even fully booked, it wasn't very crowded. WIFi worked throughout. 

Location is a little out of the way, about 3km from the village of Ballstad, which has a Joker (grocery store) along with a couple of restaurants.  Free parking, and near a bus stop, although depending on the day there may be few, if any, buses.

If you are using Lofoten diving then this is a good place to stay, if you are not I would recommend elsewhere. Rooms are fine but the facilities are pushed when more than 4 in the house. Kitchen is good as is the living space but the bathrooms leave much to be desired, and there were only 7 of us in the House.

Serves a purpose

Beautiful place, but ols house - it can be noisy. You can hear what people is talking about, even if you are in your room on the 2nd floor.. Spectacular view!! We stayed one night. Shared bathroom and showers. Rooms are unfortunately VERY SMALL - we had some problem to fit our bag in the room. Only 70 cm wide beds. We paid 95$ for 1 night, excluding breakfast. This was the most expensive stay under our 2 weeks trip in Norway.
