We stayed spontaneously and the staff were very nice and helpful. The restaurant has really tasty food (We tried the crab sandwich and burger) and super friendly people.
I'd live to stay here in one of the hytter again.

We had a nice stay at Hamarøy Fiskecamp. We rented a boat for one day and went fishing, the renting was not complicated at all. When we returned with some fish, the owners offered us to grill the fish in one of the BBQ cabins, that was really nice of them! Would return any time! 

Super friendly owner with a lot of big fishes to catch.
Don't worry about bad rating the owners just arrived in last month.
We were 5 friends and we wanted to cook our fish so they borrowed us a grill. Had wonderful view on lofotens montain.

This place have some bad reviews from the past, but now there are new owners and a new dawn for this amazing place! Renovations ongoing and things are getting better day by day. 

A true paradise!  There are great trekking and fishing oportunities, the restaurant will be the way it should be, and the owners are great and welcoming people. 

Highliy reccommend this place for anyone who wants some peace and quiet in combination with amazing nature

Picturesque location. We had a short stop here on our North-Norway tour. Clean, silent, cozy place. It is simple but we can not expect more in a camping at North Norway. We do not fish but most people stay here for fishing.   

I have been here about 15 times for fishing in the sea. I like the place very much because the fjord is sheltered from strong winds if its windy. The staff is very helpful. The scenery is very beautiful. Cabins are of different standards and for this year newly painted. The fishing can be pretty good.

We stayed here for one night in summer and were so glad we did! The setting is magical with a riverside setting and crystal clear water. There was forest and wildflowers surrounding the camp and a very pretty sitting out area at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the little restaurant does not offer much of a choice for meals and we settled for burgers (all the had left) - which were surprisingly good!! The owner was very nice and gave us advice on pre-booking the car ferry. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage which was clean with simple country furniture and comfortable (something we always find in Scandinavia) beds. The shower was spacious and had good hot water. Overall, the stay was very pleasant and very cost effective for a group of 4 adults. 
We chose this camp because it was in a good location for catching the ferry at Skutvik to the Lofoten Islands and because of it's simple Nordic country charm - we were not disappointed.

The only positive feedback I can give is that the location is nice, close to the fjord and the "Hamsund-senter ". Other than this the list of negative things is long: terrible smell and dirty toilet facilities. Had to tell the staff that there was no toilet paper in the morning. Bad food in the restaurant, and in general the place strongly needs to be upgraded. The playground for children is also in very bad condition. Rotten ladders and rusty metalclimbing equipment. Would recommend people to find a different place to stay.

Camping

We stayed only for one night and I´m not going back ever again. The staff were not service minded at all and did not do their job properly. Starting with not replying when we tried to make a reservation via email a few weeks earlier. The room were dirty and had a terrible smell. No sheets and towels, so we had to pay 220NOK extra for that - we were not informed about that when we arrived late at night, so I had to call them up again. The person I spoke to to confirm our arrival earlier that evening(they asked me to do that because we arrived late at night) did not inform the others, so when we came, they were really surprised when we showed up and proclaimed that they never received that phone call from us(!) We payed 1100NOK for one night, but could have gotten a nice hotel room inclusive breakfast for the same price. Maybe some of the cabins are ok, but stay away from the badly maintained motel rooms!
