A quiet setting just up the hill from the town.  The owner was very helpful and patient.  The views from our cabin to the north were wonderful and we really enjoyed sitting out on the porch with the bleating of sheep in the background.  The cabin had all the facilities we needed and plenty of room.  Internet only available near reception cabin. 
 Nearest shop is in town a couple of kilometres away.

Camping-homes in scenic and romantic surroundings, peaceful. Modest pricing, modest standard, cottages higher standard. Generous and friendly staff. Perfect for adults seeking a peaceful retreet. Recommended! 

After being at the Geirangerfjord for the day this was a great place to stay as only around 30 minutes from the Fjord itself. There is also a local Coop about 10 minutes down the road next to the ferry crossing. On arrival we pulled up the driveway and parked outside reception. The lady in there was very friendly and was happy to help with any questions which we had and gave us our cabin key for the night. As with all camping sites I would advise to book in advance especially this time of year as it was fully booked the night that we were there. Linen and towels are not provided so you should bring your own but this is something you get use to when in Norway. There is free parking and you can pull up at the side of your cabin so easy to move cases forward and backwards. The cabin itself is lovely with having two separate rooms with the bedroom being away from the rest of the living space. There were two sets of bunk beds in ours even though there was only the two of us staying and so this made for plenty of space. There is a fridge as well as a stove with two rings to cook on and a sink with fresh water to fill up any water bottles. There is ample space in the cabin and was one of the roomiest which we had during our stay in the country. The views overlooking the mountains were lovely and it felt very peaceful while here as its off of the main road enough not to hear cars and lorries going by. The shower and toilet block is at the top of the site and no more than a minute away walking, they have two toilets and one shower so this meant having to wait for a little while but was not a problem in our eyes as there was plenty of hot water. It has heating in the cabins which we appreciated during our stay and would highly recommend coming here to stay if you are in the area. A great little place with everything you'll need while on your trip around Norway.

We had an amazing experience in Eidsdal camping, we were a big group and the owner received us in a very warm and polite way. Comfortable beds and cabins, very clean! We had a barbecue at night after arrival in the main house, which was cool, the owner provided us the grills. We had an amazing breakfast on the next day. Outstanding view, nice atmosphere, Highly recommended.

Nice little place to spend a few days.  While the cabin is little on the cozy side, it did have everything we needed; bed, kitchen area and dining area.  We used it as a base for a little hiking and sightseeing.  Loved the area, very quiet and peaceful.

Bairgain camping Eidsdal

We stayed in a cabin with four beds in one bedroom. The cabin also has a living / kitchenette area, bathroom with shower, entrance hall and terrace. Our cabin was among the lowest in the terrain.

+ Sun terrasse until 7PM on June 26th
+ Close to Geiranger and the Eidsdal ferry dock
+ OK bed mattresses

- Bathroom drainage was blocked.., yet with strong and comprehensive efforts opened on our request
- Linen and towels not included

Affordable alternative between Geiranger and Trollstigen

[ TripAdvisor says this is a hotel but it's a camping ...]
We spent the night in our tent.
The location is convenient, on route 63.
The service is minimal compared to other campgrounds we visited, but the cost was also rather cheap (140 NOK for a tent).
The shower was hot (the meter was broken so no time limit) but a bit creepy.
The wifi was OK if you sat on the router .. range was only at the office.
