While this isn't a luxury hotel, I gave it five stars because I loved it. I stayed in the "standard" 2-bedroom cottage with sea view, which had a funky charm. It was neither new nor modern but had its charm and had been very well maintained. I appreciated my stunning view and the fact that, because the cottage was its own separate unit, it was very quiet (even though the hotel was fully occupied.) Very comfortable and perfect for one person. Kitchenette sufficient for making all my meals. I was very happy here. If you go to Eliassen Rorbuer, pay close attention to which room type you are choosing -- there are many options, and many lack views or are not free-standing. Some parts of the resort looked a little crowded to me, but I was very happy with my choice. I was surprised by how peaceful and comfortable it was.
