Vostok Hotel 

I stayed at Vostok for one night while in Moscow to watch football and I was very happy with my choise. Vostok was pleasant and more importantly, very reasonably priced hotel in very, very expensive city (I paid 102USD for the night). The rooms were nice and comfortable if basic (but then again, if you want luxury, you are welcome to use the 600USD/night hotels there is hundreds in the city...). The staff were helpful and spoke reasonably good English, room was clean and bathroom had all the amenities you need. Beds were comfortable and sheets clean. Only critisism I have is the not very helpful instructions how to get there at the hotel website; I spent quite long at night trying to find it (I was using public transport rather than a taxi) so here's it in a nutshell; go to Vladykino metro station, turn right - there's a road that curves to right and walk until you come to big road. Take right in there until you see a big yellow hotel (I have forgot the name but you won't miss it). There a subway in there going under the busy main road (be carefull here, it is really busy!) and take the road that goes behind the yellow hotel from the left side, and walk on, you'll see Vostok on your right very soon. All in all, about 10-15min walk from Vladykino if you know where you're going. Btw, there's also a post office nearby (when you walk from Vostok to Vladykino, it's first or second street that is on your right hand side) which might be useful especially because there doesn't seem to be many post boxes in Moscow for some reason!!!
