Hotel National is located in the center of the capital, a few steps from the Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theater, St. Basil's Cathedral.
In a hotel
The hotel, built in 1903 by the famous architect Alexander Ivanov, is an excellent example of imperial architecture in the historical center of Moscow.
For guests of the hotel there is an indoor heated swimming pool overlooking Moscow and a fitness center equipped with modern exercise equipment.
Breakfasts are served in the Moskovsky restaurant with a panoramic view of the Kremlin. During the day, guests can visit the Alexandrovsky Bar, the menu of Russian and European cuisine and author's desserts.

I absolutely loved it. the hotel was built in 1903. it was fascinating to stay there. The antique furniture was breathtaking! I do pray they keep this original atmosphere. there's no hotel in the world that keeps such great original antique Russian style. The hotel is very close to Alexander Park, and all the great museums, the staff were kind, and they speak English. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment on it. But I am definitely staying

I really liked the hotel’s location—it’s perfect for exploring the city, with major attractions just a short walk away. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making check-in and my stay smooth. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The classic decor and historic feel of the hotel added to the experience, making it a unique and memorable stay.
What was bad
The only issue I had was with the room heater—it was always warm, and I prefer a colder room.

I liked an extremely excellent level of service by reception and restaurant stuff. They were very helpful and polite. Please do not expect smiley service, in Russia can be kind and polite in without a big smile on their face. I certainly liked the location very much. I liked this little trip into the history and the atmosphere of cultural enrichment! Certainly will stay here once more!

Only crossing underground to reach red square its very near.
Delicious cake was sent to my room as a birthday gift.
Bed is comfortable and clean the only problem with the air conditioning they cannot open it from October till April and the room without breeze because also you cant open the window.

The location, the staff, the interior, everything was just exceptional. Literally few steps from the metro station (without sensing any rattling when the metro passes by). 2 mins walking from the red square. The food is delicious. Staff were exceptionally hospitable. I loved everything and I would definitely stay again.
What was bad
Nothing, all was exceptional.
