Been here only for one night, the staff really friendly and helpful, even no one speak English (google translate very useful!!) but all of them are welcome, helpful, fun and friendly. Not much option for breakfast, but all of them really delicious. No credit card accepted but it's not a big deal for me!

Friendly staff!

I feel like this hotel is run by people who don't quite know what they are doing. The room is clean and comfortable but there are some things missing that should be easy to provide.1. They don't accept credit cards. Since they have wi-fi (free, which is nice), it seems like they could set up some kind of credit card terminal. 2. Though this may seem like a small thing, there is no kettle in the room for boiling water. I know there is giardia in St Petersburg, so I am not taking chances with tap water here.

I don't expect hotel staff to speak English and I speak a little Russian. Even so, the main woman at the desk seems abrupt to the point of being rude. That could just be the language barrier, though. One woman here does speak very good English.

As others wrote, though not that far in walking distance from the town center, most of the time you're walking down narrow, dark pitted roads with watch dogs at a lot of the houses.

So, I'd say overall it's not a bad place but be aware what you're getting.

Not bad, but some problems

Guest house is not far from the center but it looks like if you are in a rural place. New built house with several rooms. All roooms are new and nice looking. Some standard apt are sharing bathrooms. I'd recommend to book a semi-lux room. It has a queene -size bad and bathroom. Breakfast is unpretentious but cheap. Served in room. Comparing with other hotels I stayed in Novgorod it is worth the money.

Really Nice new place super clean.as usual in russia they doesn't speak english but this is ok.15 min walk from Kremlin and center
