Location, atmosphere, attitude - all super. Highly recommend to those who come to Vyborg for a weekend - families or single travellers, doesn't matter! We did have a great time! Thanks a lot, Dmitry!!

Pihta Hostel in Vyborg - super!!!

In Vyborg in total I visited three hostels. Prices range from 400-750 roubles. This one I paid 700roubles for per night (July 2019) season time.
In general talking about hostels in Russia I think Vyborg is not the cheapest city to stay since its a historical tourist destination. Out of all hostels this one I enjoyed the most because of a very friendly staff. I noticed that pictures are totally outdated though and many people I talked with and reviews I read were slightly disappointed because of that. However I would definitely recommend this place. I have a few tips about this place for my dear traveller friends. Budged travellers know what cooking yourself means in a proper kitchen means. Theres not much you will be able to prepare (they do have filtered water/microwave/coffee maker and a fridge and laundry cost is 150 roubles). Also there’s very rarely staff/administrator present. They often make sure they are present when you arrive so may make sure you arrange that before hand and in other case there’s number you can call shown in the picture and administrator will arrive within 5 minutes usually. I wanted to mention these little things to make your arrival and check in easier so you wouldn’t get confused upon arrival. I have stayed in this Hostel several times which I wouldn’t do unless I like the place. Location in super good and staff extremely friendly. Everything is clean and people that stayed there were peaceful and nice. (I noticed that its usually a smart thing to avoid the cheapest hostels in town, go for the ones slightly move expensive…. Its worth it trust me). This hostel has 3 rooms in total that why its as i mentioned peaceful and a good place for a family(booking 4bed room fully for example). I rate this place 4/5.
