Fantastic
I spent three weeks in Bangkok, in October and November, 2025, and made a point of staying in different hotels in different neighborhoods, for one to three days. I wanted to get a sense of the Sathon neighborhood, and booked one night at this hotel, after reading TripAdvisor's summary. The Jasaen Stylish Boutique Hotel is a few block walk from the last BTS station on the Silom line, before crossing the river (which is also the ferry stop), so guests of the hotel have easy access to both modes of transportation. I checked in, without knowing which room I was going to be assigned, which was part of the fun, for me. i ended up getting essentially a college dorm-style room, complete with its own full bathroom, a desk, ample power outlets to charge cameras, phones, laptops, etc., and a small refrigerator. It also had an interesting balcony, surrounded by a stone wall. The bed was large and comfortable, the room very clean, the hotel is quiet, and the flatscreen TV was the only one in all of the places that I stayed in, in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, that had YouTube, among several other channels that I could understand in English. The hotel is in a non-touristy native neighborhood, with a food mart across the street, street vendors and coffee shops within a stone's throw, and it is about two blocks from a main road that one takes to get to the BTS station to the North. I took that road, past the overhead BTS line, and found myself in a very active Thai restaurant and business district, where I got some excellent Thai food. One of the things I appreciated most about Jasaen - as someone who likes to decompress at the end of the day with Pink Floyd, coffee and a cigar - is the top floor, which is enclosed, with large windows that open, and where the proprietor allows smoking. There was also what appeared to be a bar and possibly a large whirlpool tub, up there. I was the only one present, when I was up there. Finally, the price is right. I think my night cost about $15 US, and I may have gotten the best night sleep at Jasaen, despite my nights at other far "swankier" hotels, around Bangkok. Check in and check out were seamless and each took about three minutes. Highly recommend, for anyone who approaches hotel stays with something of a "roll the dice" approach.
