This is a really lovely place to stay in Bangkok. While at first I thought it was a little strange, after spending 5 nights here I really grew to love it and realised what a charming and unusual place it was. The family that runs it is very friendly and do everything to try and accommodate your stay. The decor is very interesting - it felt like I was staying in a museum, with plants and greenery, skulls and interesting artefacts. It is completely different from the more stale and typical apartments that can be found anywhere in Bangkok. The breakfast was delicious, there was tea and coffee available, and it was close to a few shops for the essentials. It is also a very close walk to the Skytrain, making it easy to navigate the city. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel and not through a third-party institution. It is also important to note that they do not have credit card facilities and it can be a bit tricky to find if you are arriving by taxi - the hotel is off the main road and many people do not know where it is. They say that an airport transfer is available, but in reality the driver did not know where the hotel was. Best to be prepared in advance for this, but all in all, a highly recommended place to stay.
