Orchid House 

I liked staying here as it is a relaxing and very reasonably priced hotel. It is a budget place. The people working there are wonderful and friendly and relaxed. The location is good and the rooms of good size, especially the front rooms. I would like to see them clean the rooms and bathrooms more thoroughly, but generally all was okay and clean towels and bed making was done every day - I have stayed at 5 star places where the cleaning leaves MUCH to be desired...so I am not complaining about it. Orchid is the best budget hotel I have stayed in. The beds are a tiny bit hard - BUT they use a soft mattress protector which make a big difference! I recommend the Orchid House. Oh there's no elevator so the bags will need to be carried up the stairs. Ask for a room on low floors. Also I wish they would adopt a NO SMOKING IN ROOMS policy. Ask for a room with no smoke smell and they will give you a room which is fresh. The LCD TV is good as one can play DVD's if you bring your own portable DVD player and cables. Free water is provided every day. Also as a bonus there is a 7 Eleven right next door! Very handy! I paid 750 Baht a night for a large front room....but I am friends with the staff. But 800 is ok. The FREE wifi has a GOOD STRONG signal! And it logs you in automatically - this is a BIG PLUS! My only advice to the owner is to please make this hotel a non smoking establishment and improve a bit on the cleaning of bathrooms. The aircon is a bit noisy, so I recommend earplugs and you will be fine. The aircon is effective!
