NT Place Sukhumvit Suites 

Our second stay at Napa Place Bed & Breakfast and once again the breakfasts were a perfect highlight of our stay. Napa Pace offers a mixture of Western and Thai breakfast dishes which you pre-select by midnight the night before. Breakfast is served in a lovely, very quiet dining area with the hot dishes home-cooked. The Prawn Wonton Soup, outstanding. This was the perfect start to the day, where we could take our time (or not) and ask for advice for our travel plans. The staff went out of the way to research details and provide advice and were especially friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and furnished and a calm, quiet sanctuary from the general hubbub of Sukhumvit. Napa Place offers a handy tuk-tuk service although it doesn't travel beyond the local Thong Lo BTS. Nonetheless, this is handy on hot or wet days. Sukhumvit continues to develop rapidly, especially with new high rise residential blocks going up in all directions. This trend will increasingly crowd out the more peaceful, residential parts of the area and impact the street food sellers and the like. Soi 38 Night Markets are smaller than there heyday but are still good and local restaurants within easy walking reach of Napa Place are all good in various ways. The nearby and roomy Vientianne Kitchen Restaurant is especially good for genuine Lao/Thai food. Napa Place is within easy reach of the Thong Lo BTS which is an easy connection to the Suvarnabhumi Airport Link via Phaya Thai BTS. Alternatively you can jump of at Ramkhamhaeng BTS or Makkasan BTS and catch a taxi, or use this option to get to the Airport for departures. However, Napa Place can be a little tricky to find with a non-descript appearance from the street. It would do know harm to have the address in English and Thai which I am sure the staff at Napa Place could provide beforehand. In summary, a great place to stay, really nice, helpful staff and easy access to greater Bangkok.
