For any stopover in Bangkok, selecting a hotel is all about proxiity to the MRT or BTS. You don't want to rely on any taxi's as the roads are horrendous. The MRT from the ground floor of the airport is truly simple to catch and then connect to the BTS. MRT & BTS only cost me all of 85 baht to this hotel. The BKK Home 24 is a very easy couple of minutes walk from a Sukhumvit area BTS, with quality shopping centres (Emporium) nearby and a good selection of restaurants & rooftop bars. I started in a room with a Bath/Shower which could not help getting the floor wet, but was moved to a walk-in shower room which was significantly better. Wifi was patchy, good when connected, but often disconnected for periods requiring a call to reception, who were attentive to resolve. Included breakfast was ample, and they were happy to be flexible with what I wanted included & excluded. Service was very good, truly lovely lady doing breakfasts. Ultimately, stopovers are about price, comfort, convenience and standards, and for the approx AUD$80 p/night, BKK Home 24 would be somewhere I would happily return to.
