Marsi Hotel is a great option for travelers on a budget who are looking for affordable luxury. The hotel seems quite new as the style is very clean and modern - the best of modern Thai design. We were lucky in getting a free upgrade to a one-bedroom suite, which had two bathrooms. Below the hotel is a 7-Eleven, which is very handy for cheap food and drink. Minor niggles: The second time we stayed here, they had no record of our reservation. They managed to find it eventually though and the service was friendly with a smile. No power sockets next to the bed. It sounds minor but a little annoying not to have our phones on charge next to us. We actually packed an extension cord for the second time we stayed here. It's a brisk 20-minute walk to the nearest BTS station, although it's very easy to pick up a taxi right outside the hotel. There was just a dribble of water coming out of the shower. This could just be because we were on the top floor though. These are all just minor factors though. I would still whole-heartedly recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget.
