Casa Residence Hotel 

I rated this hotel as excellent. This is not because it has amazing amenities or entertainment or a 5-star restaurant, but because they are good at what they do. 15 of my friends and family members came to Thailand from the US for my wedding in December 2017. The wedding was in Ubon Ratchathani, and we planned to travel to Krabi and Chiang Mai after our big day. I arranged to stay at Casa Residence with my guests for two nights before we flew to Ubon, another night before we flew to Krabi, and a final night after we returned from Chiang Mai. The hotel was very helpful and competent in helping us book this complicated trip. They allowed us to leave our bags while we were gone, and were very good to us when we stayed with them. The rooms are good for a solid night's sleep and the breakfast isn't bad. It's a quick ride to the airport too. You can also take a quick stroll to several restaurants, convenience stores, atms, and an unsuspectingly delicious street market. There's a place that serves rad-na and some other noodle dishes late night in front of the 7/11. The food was great and they were extremely friendly and courteous. The only problem is that taxis in the area are very picky. They don't seem to want to take passengers with luggage. Our only headache was managing transportation to the airport with so many people. I would advise you to book a van service to get you to the airport if you're traveling with a large group and luggage. It's worth the money.
