200 thb per night. I did not intend to stay at this hostel, but something happened to the hostel that I reserved via online so I was forced to look for one. I was given a room without a/c. That part was ok but there were too many bugs that had bitten me while I was staying there 4n5d. Location is not bad. East gate is walking distance and many major temples in old town are walking distance too.

Very basic

I stayed here 9 days and I would definitely come back. The single/double room was spacious and well equiped, with a confy bed, a fan and towels. Internet conexion was excelent. Staff was friendly. The bathroom is one thing that could be improved, but if you take into account the price, you can't really complain...
The area is really quiet at night time and perfect to discover the city. It's definitely a good choice.

Great value for the money

The Yummy Restaurant located at this hotel excellent.  I ate here twice and was very impressed with the food and the service provided.  My favorite dishes were the Kao Soi and the fried Morning Glory.  Both were, as the restaurant name implies, very "yummy" as were the other dishes I tried!  The very nice ladies who manage this restaurant work hard to provide rapid service in a clean and pleasant atmosphere with free wifi. I did not stay at the hotel but I am may stay here the next time I come to Chiang Mai so I can be close to the restaurant.

Yummy Restaurant at Kavil 2 is Excellent

Not the cleanest place we have stayed, the bathroom really needs a good scrub, but the location is good and not too noisy at night. Staff are friendly and helpful and the beds are comfy. The breakfast in the adjoining cafe is very good and reasonably priced. For the room rate, I think K this place is fine as long as you aren't expecting too much. We actually stayed here twice regardless of the bathroom! For budget travellers it's fine for a few nights. 

Basic but ok

Stayed here for a week and it was good. Basic room with wifi and shower. It's near bars and restaurants in a nice part of the old city. The staff were really friendly and helpful, always with a smile. We checked out but when our travel plans went awry we returned and they let us stay an extra night and booked transport for us the next day. Will use again
