I picked this resort on purpose for its more 'jungle' and 'camping' like experience. Its beautiful wooden building is gorgeous and the main receptionist Natt is delightful and so helpful. He looked after us as if we are his own family. The rest is very basic but charming. Yes, the television is ancient, but surely you don't come all the way to Chiang Mai to watch telly? The bedrooms are a good size, beds clean and comfortable, shower over bath tub is working, although this could have been better. Fridge in room and wardrobe and lovely wooden dressing table. Also small balcony. The surroundings are pretty with a communal hut area where you can sit and eat, or just be near the small pool. Breakfast is also served in a room nearby, if you opted for breakfast. Shoes are asked to be removed when going up the stairs to bedroom areas, which I think is nice. The rooms have thin walls, so be aware that you can hear fellow travellers talking and walking when passing your room. The resort is situated on a main road, with no street lights so be aware when walking there in the dark. Lots of little restaurants and shops (Tesco Lotus) nearby which is convenient. Bring mosquito repellent, you will need it!!
