A true mom and pop business.

The hostel is cute and quaint and she's one of the best cooks I've come across. Not only is her Thai cuisine amazing but she also Cooks wonderful Italian food. 
 It's a small room but easily could have a party of five or six. Everything can be made vegetarian and I absolutely love her Penang ! 

While in chiangmai it's a must stop .

Best kept secret in chiangmai

A friend and I booked to stay here for just under a week. From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing. Though we couldn’t check in as we were too early, we could leave our bags in the office and Shrimpy gave us a map, an explanation of the city and a recommendation for food as we were hungry! This set the standard for the rest of our stay with the staff always on hand to help out and arrange activities and give unbiased recommendations. Rooms were clean, showers a bit temperamental with temperature, and working AC. Hostel has: free water refill, pool table (not great), cheap washing facilities (watch out for sick thieves when drying) and mini table tennis. Pool was very small and more like a hot tub size so not very inviting. Lots of insects but Shrimpy zapped then regularly to keep them away. Fantastic hostel, well-priced and close to the old city! + beautiful cats

Great hostel, super staff and cats

The staff here are so friendly and helpful throughout your stay. It is very clean and the beds are comfortable enough with great aircon. The location is ok although as young travellers we would have stayed closer to the university and surrounding area in hindsight. Nevertheless this is great for the price and is close to the old town and markets! Good for a short stay in Chiang mai and we were able to keep our bags when we were too early to check in.

great staff

I arrived with a friend, spent 2 nights, went to Pai for almost a week, then met up with 3 more friends and returned for another 3 nights. I loved staying here. Shrimp is the BEST desk host, the cats are cute, the other travellers are cool, there's a pool to dip in to cool down, and it's next to the funkiest rooftop bar in Chiang Mai. Around 10-15 mins walk to the old town, I enjoyed staying here and would definitely return.

We arrived at this guest house by chance and it's amazing! The place is quiet, it's nice for all kinds of meetings, the staff is top-notch! We loved it. It's hard to leave this place. Big kiss.

Best place in Chiang Mai

Our visit to Chiang Mai was excellent with the help of the staff from @box hostel.  Great area of the city to stay. Clean rooms great outdoor sitting area. Good showers. Definitely a great stay. Close to the Centre of the city. Just around the corner from the best night market.  

Excellent Friendly Staff

Loved my stay here. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Made my time in Chaing Mai memorable. And their cats are just the cutest! Rooms and bathrooms were clean, beds were comfy, social atmosphere was chill and relaxed. One of my best stays travelling around Thailand for sure!

Best hostel in Chiang Mai!

The staff were so nice and helpful. Everyone staying there was so nice! Very chilled vibes, beds were comfortable and the place was spotlessly clean at all times. I will definitely be back, nice small swimming pool and very good location

Excellent Accommodation

This is one of my favorite hostels I've ever stayed at and I don't say that lightly. Their patio is great for chilling out and meeting people.
The beds and amenities are fine but let me tell you why you must stay here according to experiences I've had.
1) they booked many activities for me as well as buses, allowing me to use their phone since I didn't have one
2) I rented a motorbike (strongly recommend) and gave my passport as collateral. But I needed to exchange money. At like 9pm, one of the female workers took my $100 cash on her motorbike halfway across town and denied me twice trying to tip her
3) when the bike was due back when the business opened at 830am but I was slated to leave before that, they took back the bike before me a little late and paid the late fees for me! What outstanding customer service. These people will do anything for you. They're so nice and try to make you laugh as well. 
People who aren't staying there can just come chill, no problem. You can keep your bags there if you arrive early or late. They have free water.
I met the coolest people of my entire trip from here and it's undoubtedly because of the layout and how inviting they are. You must stay here

Social yet not a party hostel

Good hostel, excellent location, in a quiet area. It offers a very economical laundry service, free bicycles and a kitchen, with free coffee, infusions and drinking water, where you can prepare breakfast or lunch. The staff is very attentive and helpful, helping you with everything you need, be it tourist information or personal interest. The rooms are shared with 10 bedrooms and two bathrooms in each block. Very cheap, I recommend it 100% to spend a few pleasant days in the city with the opportunity to meet people.
