Our House, a five-room guesthouse with a cafe on the first floor, is an overall good choice for Chiang Mai. The location is superb--directly within the walls in my favorite quadrant of the old city and within easy walking distance to many vegan/vegetarian restaurants. The room is comfortable, everything works well including the wifi which was reliable with no outages. The only negative is the worn carpet which should be replaced soon. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to help me get a tuk-tuk to the bus terminal. They are not there at night but there is a number where they can be contacted; also, remember to bring your keys when you leave at night. Finally, there are many stairs to the top floor. I am 68 and they were not a problem, but if you have a disability, they may be difficult to negotiate. I would stay here again.

Good Location, Good Owners!

Stay here for 3 nights. Located near Tha pae gate (few mins walk) and Sri poom fort. Owner are helpful and friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. Have city view from balcony. Also, booked van to Pai from owner. So, don't need to find tour agent for myself. Happy with my stay here. 

Comfortable stay

We booked this hotel based on reviews, mainly about the owner, and they did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived (pre check in) nothing was too much effort! The owners helped us book a bus to Pai the next day, gave us advice on the local area and a tour of the hotel! 

The hotel itself is dated, so if you are expecting anything luxurious then this isn’t the place to come. But in saying that our room was a nice size, bathroom was adequate, mini bar fully stocked with free two bottles of water and a range of English channels on the TV. It’s worth nothing they do has a resident cat, not that I saw it unluckily! 

It is in a wonderful location and perfect walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Saturday market.

Probably they are the kindest hotel owners who I ever met. 
The room was clean, I really liked the bathroom but there could be more light as I struggled to shave properly. 
I loved that you have a balcony. 
The only “bad” thing was that on the tv there is so many English channels you kind of stick to the screen after I haven’t seen tv for a while.

Well, just as the name says. It is actually a House !! It's a family run BnB that stands on a corner of the old walls of Chiang Mai. We didn't stay at the room but stumbled across this place while looking for a place to get a d ink. The Menu - well there's no food just drinks for thristy travellers and locals. The selection ranges from coffee, tea and juice to the local beers. 
Now, where this place stands out is the fact that the prices of the drinks here are almost cheaper by a third ! A 90THB beer in the hostel dominated inner section of Chiang Mai Old City is just 40THB here.
It's just open from 8AM to 6PM but it's a nice little way to kill time. The owners are the sweetest people you'll meet !

The Kindest People You'll Meet

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Chiang Mai. The location is easy to find and everything is in walking distance. The street food and restaurants on the same road are excellent and very reasonably priced. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the bed was huge! The decor is a little dated but charming - everything you need is provided. 

Huge thank you to the friendly, warm owners who went above and beyond to help us with things as varied as laundry (delivered back to our room) and whether any Buddhist ceremonies were taking place! Great stay :)
