This place had the best value for money of any of the hostels we’ve stayed in in Thailand. It’s so cheap for a big double room with an en-suite. Yes you bring your own toiletries and the decor is simple as expected but most certainly worth the money. The previous reviews suggest an A/C room is best but this would be expected with the climate in Thailand. The fan and AC are very powerful and the comfortable beds made for a good nights’ sleep. The host is also wonderful and can’t do enough to help, they let us leave the bags in a secure room on the last day and still use the hostel facilities. The water pressure is very good, they have exercise and reading equipment as well as a communal sofa area. Drinking water, a kettle and microwave is also provided. The location is good for shops and restaurants/bars. The hostel is generally quite quiet due to the concrete floors and safe from the lockable gate at night. Washing machines and areas to hang clothes in the hostel area are very helpful for travellers. Everything you could ask for from a cheap and cheerful hostel.
