I was in Chiang Mai for one night and booked a bunk in the all female dorm. The room was not the cleanest, but I would say that was the result of three girls having already been there for a night or two. The locker service isn’t in the room for those who wish to use it. 

Breakfast was provided by a sweet woman. Nothing fancy, a fried egg with slices of salami and toast. It fills the stomach to start your day. 

Check out is at eleven but they held onto my bag as I explored the city. It was very helpful. 

Decent stay but for the price, I would find an alternative.

Decent to lay your head

A well-furnished garden, well-furnished common areas and discreetly clean common bathrooms. Breakfast is acceptable but it's a bit ridiculous that it's offered for free when you end up paying for a private room with a bathroom of almost 1,300 bt (expensive compared to the average 700/900 ): very small room and no bathroom even though well-furnished.

Renovated but pricing to be revised

We enjoyed our stay here. The room is small but well designed. The location is excellent. Free breakfast is a toast with lettuce, tomato, ham and egg, and a three-in-one coffee.  

The hostel is pet friendly, and we stayed with our cat. Everything went smoothly. The little garden was nice for the cat, too. 

Cozy!

Rooms and bathrooms clean and reasonably well appointed. Front desk staff was friendly (although not terribly helpful). Breakfast was free and acceptable. Very good location just across the street from the old city.

Our biggest complaints were that the price seemed a bit high for what was provided, and the room was very strangely designed, with a lofted bed below which there was a 5 foot ceiling. We stooped for 3 days.

Clean rooms, quiet, but strange layout. Somewhat pricey.

The hostel is centrally located, but still away from the street noise in a quiet side street. The rooms are clean, fresh and tastefully furnished. In the private room with a queensize bed, you feel like you are in a micro-apartment: sleeping upstairs, having a sofa to sit on, a small bar in front of the door. The check-in is easy, the employees were usually free and helpful, but there are also plenty of mattresses to eat in the morning to have a good night's sleep. The hostel has a private breakfast, which is also a good price, but the hostel is not as convenient as a hotel.

Nice hostel with a few clippings

We arrived in this hostel after a 25 hour trip from Cambodia and it was exactly what we needed: a small dorm room with a green view. The rooms are clean and cozy - I have never seen such a small bathroom! I used the shower downstairs instead. The beds were, in my opinion, not comfortable, but my travelbuddy had no problems with it. Apparently breakfast was also included but we haven't had it. I hope that the hostel's iconic and cute puppy learns to stop biting tourists in the ankles though!

Great stay

What about the surface and appearance...small rooms, even smaller shower room, bed on mezzanine with hyper dangerous stairs (especially at night because the whole sanitary part is downstairs!!), non-existent soundproofing, questionable cleanliness, any breakfast, as for parking: three seats in front of the hotel and difficult to access, very difficult!!!..to note however the presence of a sofa that can turn into a bed.

I'm going to...

We booked the hostel because it's quite central. So we waited in the very nice garden for 1 1/2 hours (it was easy to handle). Then a staff member came and said that we could check in earlier. But since the rooms still needed to be cleaned, it didn't go well (which wasn't too bad, we were already too early:-) We were told that we could wait, it wouldn't take long. So we waited in the very nice garden for 1 1/2 hours (it was easy to handle). Then a staff member came and said that now everyone would go to the lunchroom, it would take until 2:00 p.m.

For a few nights, okay.

Helpful staffs who can tell u all the informations in Chiang Mai;decent breakfast which makes you get up early everyday;great location just close to Thapae Gate.With a super nice garden. All in all,Michelin three-star hostel.

It's a very warm and friendly atmosphere. It's in French, so you can get a better guide to the right plans, the best trucks, the cheapest prices and a good apéro! Located in the right area of Chiang Mai, you have easy access to everything. The keyword is efficiency. If you're there on Sunday, don't miss Stéphan's meal!
