I had no idea what to expect when I booked this, but it turned out to be perfect. I was traveling solo, but my apartment had two bedrooms and a small kitchen and dining room, perfect for the butter and orange juice I bought from a grocery store about two blocks away. There was a balcony off both the main bedroom and kitchen and while the view is nothing spectacular, it was nice to sit out there in the rain. Breakfast is served in your room and is delicious. And it's a LOT of food, so I saved the crepes and had those for dinner. If what they show you on the menu doesn't work for you, just talk to the fabulous people in reception and they will accommodate you. The location is about a two minute walk from the metro station Arsenala and one minute in the other direction is a park. I really enjoyed walking around the park in the evening; there is a WWII memorial and also a Holodomor memorial. Keep walking in that direction and in about five minutes you'll come to the Lavra and another five minutes brings you to Rodina Mat. The hotel also arranged for me to picked up and driven back to the airport, which was great. The only possible downside would be the stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, this is not the hotel for you.
