Nice clean, friendly accommodation.
Really nice meals & a wonderful selection go speciality gins.
Close to the Pedlars Way & many other trails. Good walking area - scenery without hills!!!
Worth checking out.

Home from home

Nice pub with good food, ideally situated on the Peddars Way - but if you park there have the courtesy to use the pub - not just take a space away from a real customer. We ate there on two days when walking to the pub from the start of the Peddars Way and when walking from the pub to Little Cressingham. We've got two beagles, who couldn't have been made more welcome by Karen the landlady, with water and dog biscuits provided. They would both gve the pub 10/5!

The separate block of wheelchair-friendly rooms is modern, comfortable and well designed. There is plenty of parking at the back of the pub next to a very pleasant garden where you can eat in the summer. The pub is traditional inside and the food is home-cooked and good. As a base for walking this is very conveniently situated although being on a main road does mean that there is heavy traffic rumbling past. This is noticeable in the pub but not in the bedrooms as they are set perpendicular to the road.

Friendly and down to earth

Sunday Lunch was pretty good and reasonably priced, though not up to the standard of many pubs these days. The menu was fairly limited with no main option for vegetarians. Puddings were filling and what was needed after a long walk but nothing special. Fairly bare inside but cosy next to the wood fire. The staff were very friendly.

Pretty Good Sunday Lunch

We stayed here the weekend whilst visiting Snetterton Circuit, which is around a 10 minute drive away.
We arrived Friday and had drinks and food in the garden. Food was lovely and the portions where huge, (far too many chips Karen). We was shown to our room which was great, huge area with twin beds and a sofa. Very large bathroom and everywhere was spotless. Tea, coffee facilities in the room and also bottles of water.
To sum up a wonderful place to stay, clean and modern, food was lovely and the owner Karen made sure you was happy with everything. Will definitely go back if visiting Snetterton.
