It's a disgusting hostel, they've withdrawn the reservation money, and it turns out the hostel isn't working, and the person answering the number on the website is just a fraud.

The scammers

Excellent hostel in the center of Moscow, very close to the largest metro station and the New and Old Arbat. Quiet and well-served area. Common areas and spacious rooms, clean, the only drawback are the common bathrooms: only two (although they are large and well-equipped). Available and courteous staff. Excellent quality/price ratio!

Good location.

I can honestly say this was the very worst hostel experience of my life. The place is filled with deadbeat long term residents, the staff are antagonistic druggies who invite their crusty friends for free sofa accommodation in the common areas, I had $50 stolen  (and was aggressively accused of lying by staff), most residents don't crawl out of bed until noon, and there is usually some creature sleeping in the shared areas, so you have to creep about if you get up in the morning.

This place sucks. I can't think of anything good to say about it.

Deadbeat Hippy Central - Avoid!

The location is perfect (not far from the metro stations, 10 minutes from the Kremlin and close to several shopping streets), the apartment is very nice. However, it wasn't always very clean, the owner and his friends (who live in the hostel) were not very welcoming (the prorio took us for fools), we must absolutely avoid talking about politics even if they are the ones who launch the topic.

Good location but not nice staff.

As I came alone by metro I got lost to find this hostel at first but I met 2 nice girls who helped me to find this hostel. There is small elevator straight to 4th floor where this hostel located. The room is big enough as I stayed in a mix dorm for 4 people. There are 2 bathroom n toilet inside. This hostel looks new from inside. There are kitchen for cooking. The location is near to a resto & walk about 5 minutes then you will arrive at Arbats Street where you can shop for Russian souvenirs & foods. This hostel is near to Arbats Metro. Hard Rock Cafe is also in Arbats Street. This hostel has no luggage storage so if you don't stay in this hostel (in case you are just transit and wanna go to St Petersburg) then you can't put your luggage here. Btw you will be asked for RUB 500 as the key card guarantee.

Perfect Hostel in Perfect Location

At the beginning, all was perfect but a member of the staff got crazy.
During the last night, at 1:30 am, he came in our room with a girl. They were completely drunk. The guy wanted we leave the room !!! We strongly refused, then, this guy insulted us ! It was the first time something like this happened in a hostel. 
Despite of a good location and the cheap prices, we were very disappointed of this story by a member of the staff. We didn't feel safe anymore there.

I enjoyed everything at this hostel - the location of the Arbat, the cleanliness of the room, the clean interior, the polite staff, the large living room, the normal kitchen, and most importantly, the adequate price per day. Unlike the hostels next door, it's definitely the best.

For a cheap hostel in Moscow, it's just great.

Every time I came to Moscow, I always stayed in this wonderful hostel. The foreign environment always excited and excited me! A lot of interesting people, Russians and foreigners, gathered here. Many of my friends were offended that I didn't stay at them. And I was happy! The environment, the city center, the heart of the capital - that's what I always valued this hostel for! You can get to any point of the city without any problems (by metro) and without wasting a lot of time (distance is evenly distributed)

Start studying Moscow - start by staying at HM-Moscow Hostel!

A nice small hostel that feels more like a homestay. The rooms are Spacious as is the bathroom (beware he shower is a bit shaky!) The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nice sized lockers to fit everything in. We enjoyed our stay here and would go back.

Good location

A welcoming administrator, a hot tub with a hot tub, a large living room, near the center, no unfamiliar people looking for a place to stay cheaper than renting a house.
