This place is probably by far the best place you will get around this price point. It was so cheap and the rooms were pretty nice as well! Great AC unit (very powerful). 

Front desk was very nice and gave us free water as we arrived. They communicate well and are very kind.

My only qualm is the washrooms aren't so nice and the shower is a shared space with the toilet, but for this price I can't complain. Everything else was great.

Amazing location! Very close to night markets and nightlife. If you're on a budget, this place is awesome.

I'm fond of this funky hotel. 

Stayed here on my 1st trip to Chiang Mai in July 2018 for 6 nights, then came back 2 months later and stayed for a month.

Friendly, helpful manager at reception desk who speaks English.

Spotlessly clean floors, halls, rooms.
No elevator. Doors use metal keys. 
Receive 2 large cold bottles of drinking water when checking in, then available for purchase.
Cookies, instant coffee, tea free in lobby. 

Room is small and very basic but sufficient - cozy but not cramped. Queen bed, AC, fan on wall, 2 cushioned chairs.
Walls painted white and pleasant light orange.

Tabletop near sink was originally the base of a Singer foot pedal powered sewing machine (foot pedal still underneath).

Thai style bathroom - toilet in same area as shower.
 Open shower on wall or can be hand held, in private bathroom . 

Small flat panel TV on wall - 18 channels, a few in English - 1 shows rerun movies, Fox News, CNBC, Al Jazeera English. Also TV5Monde and Korean Airarang News, both sometimes English subtitled.

No safe but lockers available - use your own padlock - in a secured walk in closet/storage space.
No house phone in room.
No closet, wardrobe, chest.
Hooks on wall and clothes hangers.
No toiletries provided.
Free wifi.
No smoking building.
They had a housekeeper doing laundry for a reasonable rate when I was first there, then didn't have laundry service when I came back. If they don't have it currently it's not a problem, there are numerous places doing laundry in the area.
Also racks and hangers on the roof for drying clothes if you wash your own.

Very nice wide wrap around covered porch with 2 large wooden picnic type tables, and also 2 person tables w/chairs.

Great location.
1 block from 2 main roads but on a quiet sidestreet/alley/lane in the "Old Town" backpacker area.

Somphet daily covered indoor market (individual stalls) back entrance 6 steps away across the Soi (alley/lane).
(Fantastic 50 THB fresh fruit bowls available there ~ center area).

Desk closes at 21:30 but given key to open side door.
Credit cards accepted for 3% surcharge.

A nice quiet place in the big city in between the citywall. Its a few metres from the market. The lady at the desk is very friendly and speaks english very good. Also she can give you advise where to buy tickets. Room spacious and clean. Only the bed was not very comfortable, a little hard

We had a nice, clean and quiet double room, big enough for the two of us. Bathroom is nice too, with hot water.
Guy at the front desk is very considerate and helped us book a tour.
Characterful place, with a relax communal area with free biscuits and water and instant coffee (even if too sugary for my taste).

Nice rooms and the inn has a feel like a small bungalow. Rooms very cozy, comfortable and clean, only not very spacious. Basic breakfast items available all day long. A friendly staff and centrally located.

Awesome for the Price - Very Quick Walk to Many Activities

Excellent hotel for the price. Great location.

this is the second time we had a room in the corner inn, for 4 nights.
this time there was no possibility anymore to toast your own breakfast, which is a pity.
the room is ok, clean, but the matrass was very hard and bumpy.
we asked for a extra cover to lay down on the bed.
Dont think we come back.
the location is fine, and you can buy a lovely breakfast( fruit, yogurtt, musli) on the market which is 50 meters away
